Mauritius Blockchain Summit

July 31, 2019

Gulf Xellence invited our CEO to take part in the panel at the World Blockchain STO Summit on Facebook and the Libra Association.

A lively debate and conversation about the risks and benefits of security tokens and digital assets ensued. We discussed the implications of global digital currencies initiatives such as Libra and Central Bank Digital Currencies, and that such global currencies would need comprehensive and harmonized regulatory responses.

We also addressed that blockchain, cryptocurrencies, security tokens, and digital assets are marking the advent of the Internet of Value. As such, we are likely to experience a phase of democratization of access to financial services and investment opportunities. Security tokens and digital assets will present many potential opportunities and challenges for platform developers, regulators, institutional, and the broader market.
