Cyber Week – Tel Aviv University

June 29, 2022

On June 29th, 2022, I had the pleasure to participate in the AI & Cyber session at Tel Aviv University during Cyber Week, where I presented some case studies of AI applications to Cybersecurity.

This presentation explored the next frontier of AI applied to Cybersecurity. In the first part, I presented various AI use cases of the intersection between Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, such as preventing zero-day threats.

I also introduced other techniques and approaches, such as behavioral techniques based on machine learning to identify deviation from a baseline norm to recognize and contain Cyberattacks.

In the second part, I looked at possible future trends of applying AI to Cybersecurity by optimizing capacity to resources ratios and making the relationship between people, processes, and technology more efficient.

I also touched upon the convergence of Cybersecurity with AI Ops and Business Intelligence. I looked at how we can apply those techniques for Cybersecurity predictive analytics in the context of Secure Operations Centers to identify where potential threats will likely emerge from within or outside an environment.
